2019 National Pizza Hut Pizza Championship
On Friday, October 4, eight brave pizza masters competed to be crowned Pizza Hut’s 2019 Pizza Champion. The feeling in the room was electric as the competitors geared up for the hottest competition of the year. Four of the competitors were from our very own NPC International family.
The road to Nationals included store level, area level and region level competitions over the course of the summer, culminating in an NPC-wide competition for Pizza Champ. The top performers were sent to compete at the city level for a chance at nationals. JD Greer scored high in Dallas, Heather Burton dominated the competition in Las Vegas, Cheryl Ladner earned her top spot in Chicago, and Andre Quesnell beat out all the competition in Charleston!
The competition was fierce, and our representatives did a phenomenal job. Although there could only be one champion, each finalist was regarded as a top class pizza performer.
JD Greer, the 2019 NPC Pizza Champion, made NPC proud by placing third out of the 8 competitors.
Each of our finalists represented the NPC standard and gave it their all. We couldn’t be more proud of our finalists, and the fact that half of the top eight pizza makers in the nation are part of our NPC family!
